童軍オタク

接續上一篇，這首Land of the Silver Birch ( 銀樺樹的土地 ) 比較年輕，由Pauline Johnson所寫的詩歌所譜成，是加拿大民謠。歌曲感覺很像是美洲原住民的音樂，這就跟我們的高山青常被認為是原住民歌曲一樣的意思，高山青是為了描寫原住民的模樣而寫的電影主體曲，Land of the Silver Birch一樣是Pauline Johnson為了原住民而寫，自然有美洲原住民的曲風。至於Pauline Johnson何許人也??詳細的內容請見維基，因為只能用翻譯器，大概了解她是混血土著與荷蘭後裔所生的女作家。

原曲是很優美的詩歌，藉由描寫自然環境，來表達對於土地的關懷。第一段，描寫種滿銀樺樹的土地，是海狸的家，上面麋鹿成群，有藍色的湖水與岩石的岸邊，我將要回去；第二段，在高聳的山上，豎立我的帳篷，鄰近的湖水，依然安寧平靜有藍色的湖水與岩石的岸邊，我將要回去；第三段，我的心為你哀傷、為你跳動，無論在此地或其他地方，我會為你回到北方的山，依然安寧平靜有藍色的湖水與岩石的岸邊，我將要回去。

美國童軍很喜歡唱這首歌，尤其是在露營與營火的時候，特別是在夜晚，唱這首歌是很有感覺的。所以這首算是由童軍來推廣到全世界，台灣這邊應該也是如此。

國內銀波綠舟的英文歌名最常見的是Silver Water Green Boa，這....。也難怪很多歌曲明明知道是外國歌曲，卻很難找到原曲，這種中文式的直翻還真有趣，連要GOOGLE回來都找不到，因為不合語法。

另外還有黑色海盜船的KUSO版本，基本上是不推廣，畢竟原曲意境這麼優美，救國團的團康團體總是把好好的一首歌給醜化。不過還是得介紹，讓大家知道原曲是哪首。
