就跟謝飯歌 ( Johnny Appleseed Grace ) 一樣，這首源出迪士尼 ( Disneyland ) 影集大衛克羅傳 ( Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier )，是其主題曲 The Ballad of Davy Crockett ( 大衛克羅民謠 )，後來翻唱成中文的再會吧!原野，1957年由逸敏主唱。這首因為頗有民謠風，很多活動喜歡拿來當表演舞曲使用。

國內喜歡翻唱這首歌的很多，像原野三重唱與鳳飛飛都是，算是四、五、六年級，甚至七年級都耳熟的歌曲。
